Aloha everyone! My name is Topaz and I’m the founder and owner of Island Paddle Bliss, a floating yoga studio based in the heart of Honolulu on O’ahu. I am thrilled to hold space for this experience that intends to encourage beauty positivity, personal care, and uplifting self image. This retreat is very personally inspired and I can’t wait to see this come together! Hello to you all! My name is Kim and I’m a professional makeup artist with over 15 years’ experience in the beauty industry. Born and raised in Canada, I finished my degree in Education and utilized my passion to educate in the world of skincare and cosmetics. I’ve also managed the Beauty Boutique at Shoppers Drug Mart in Vancouver and Calgary, which is Canada’s top beauty retailer, where I ran day to day operations, opened new stores and trained new managers. I was awarded ‘Manager of the Year’ for my region and my passion in the industry landed me on the company’s ‘Pro Artistry Team’. I was also featured on local television and magazines in Canada as an expert in the beauty industry. Currently, I reside in Phoenix, Arizona, raising my three young boys while transitioning into a freelance makeup artist. I mainly work with weddings, fashion, lifestyle, beauty, and event makeup and am known for my skin focused, feature enhancing, and timeless makeup looks. My work has been featured in coveted photography and wedding industry social media such as ‘The Knot’. My favorite beauty looks would have to be soft and neutral makeup looks. I love a softly sculpted base in a satin finish that is delicately highlighted and with a nice pop of blush. Eyes that are defined in warm tones and lashes that give a youthful and refreshed look along with a nudey pink glossy lip goes with any outfit and does so much to elevate confidence.

The most awkward makeup phase would have to be the thin eyebrow trend. It’s unfortunate to have started and lasted for way too many decades. I know it’s not just me as I have so many clients who cringe at their over plucking and we are all working on creating our best full faux brows!

Self-care to me means putting intention into time that you give to yourself in ways that elevate your mood, enhance your health and well-being. It’s so easy to get lost in the day to day mundane responsibilities or taking care of everyone else around you. What you’ll experience
a journey into the world of makeup and skincare…
This retreat will provide daily opportunities for you to dive into the world of makeup and skincare through various techniques, methods, and treatments catered towards a wide variety of complexions and facial structures. You will explore working with different products, learn varying styles of application, and discover your personal preferences for full authentic self expression.
Self development and growth
Not only will you explore external beauty practices to support confidence in authentic self expression, but you will also participate in restorative practices to reflect on your inner beauty surrounding your self image, how you view and talk to yourself, and ways to invite more personal care, kindness, and positivity into your mind-body-spirit.

The environment of this retreat will be very welcoming, inclusive, and inviting for all women to participate in. 5 makeup classes, 3 skincare sessions, 3 restorative practices (meditation, journaling, sound bath, etc), 2 SUP yoga classes, and 2 group outings.
Accommodation and outing transportation
6 night/7 day stay and transportation to and from group outings.

Opening and closing group meals are provided, as well as (5) daily breakfast vouchers to utilize for breakfast on site at the hotel ground floor restaurant.
makeup kit
A makeup kit featuring makeup and skincare products to be used throughout the retreat will be provided, as well as a personal mirror and retreat gift bag.

The Space

Gather and restore on the beautiful island of Oahu in a tucked away area of Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii.
6 night/7 day stay
Enjoy a six night and seven day stay at an oceanfront boutique hotel, The Kaimana. You’ll enjoy on site dining, oceanfront amenities, and a serene tucked away area on the Gold Coast of Waikiki.

The Practice
internal reflection and observation
Each day will open with guided group work to explore our internal world and observe our personal self-image. This will help us to better understand any insecurities, negative self-talk, or habits that may have originated from either external influence or from within, that keep us in a low vibration of how we view and treat ourself. These daily exercises will help us to become more aware of our inner Self and how to maintain more positive mindsets to reframe these behaviors and thought patterns.
external awareness and application
Daily classes and workshops surrounding various makeup techniques, skincare methods, personal care practices, and movement sessions will be offered to help us become more aware of our physical Self, appearance, ways to care for and authentically express ourself. These practices will all help us to better understand all of the different ways we can embrace beauty positivity, ‘what works’ and ‘what doesn’t’, and what feels best to each of us.
discovery and confidence
Through the combination of both internal and external exploration, we will discover what feels best from the inside-out. This will instill confidence in knowing our personal and practical preferences for self-care and beauty, so that we can confidently shine, blossom, and authentically express ourself however we choose, from the heart.
The Connection
In alignment with Island Paddle Bliss’s core mission of unifying the mind-body-spirit with nature, there will be plenty of time to integrate with the beautiful surroundings of Oahu. Throughout this experience, open ocean SUP yoga classes, outdoor restorative practices, waterfront accommodations and meal services, as well as open aired makeup classes will be provided, to encourage a deeper connection to nature.
The Time
Each day will include an open moment for you to rest, relax, and indulge in personal time for yourself. You may choose to swim in the ocean, rest near one of the many quaint areas around the resort, book a Watersport lesson or rental, or experience a sightseeing activity or excursion off site. This time is open for you to listen to your body and to spend as you feel called.
The Intention
To create a collective space for women from all over to gather together, explore personal care, beauty practices, and to ultimately embrace our unique individual beauty. The intention of this experience is to encourage confidence and beauty positivity in the authentic Self through mindful self-care practices and makeup and skincare education.

4.7% Hawaii State Tax is applied per each booking. Remaining balance for on-site accommodation is due 60 days upon arrival.

A $2,500 USD deposit is required to reserve your spot. 100% of this deposit is fully refundable prior to 60 days from the start of the retreat. 50% of this deposit is refundable prior to 30 days of the start of the retreat. Within 30 days of the start of the retreat, this deposit is non-refundable.

Upon submitting deposit, you will receive a confirmation email with terms and conditions, remaining balance instructions, a ballet questionnaire to complete, travel details, and information regarding your retreat welcome packet.

Upon submitting deposit, you will receive a private group link to reserve your accommodation online through the hotel’s website. This will require one night down on a credit card with the remainder due upon arrival.

100% of your payment is fully refundable prior to 60 days before the start of the retreat. 50% of your payment is refundable prior to 30 days before the start of the retreat. Refunds are not accepted within 30 days of the start of the retreat, however you can receive a date transfer to join an alternate retreat or maintain a credit to use for a future retreat within 1 year of your cancellation request.

Travel insurance is required for all out of state participants and must be purchased separately outside of Island Paddle Bliss or Kim Phan. We recommend Allianz Travel Insurance. Estimates are around $150-$500 depending on your age. Proof of travel insurance must be submitted 60 days prior to your arrival.

The main core theme of this retreat is to encourage positive self image and beauty positivity through self-care and kindness practices, to find confidence in how you choose to authentically express yourself-with makeup or without. We will explore various beauty, makeup, and self care practices to help you confidently embrace your unique individual beauty and express yourself authentically.

Absolutely not! All yoga classes will be all-level friendly.

A few yards from the shoreline. Please note that there are no harmful sea life creatures in the area (no sharks). However you will not be able to stand in the water, so please be sure to have basic swimming skills.
